Rising Trend For MLM Companies To Sponsor Umrah
SHAH ALAM, June 30 (Bernama) — There is a rising trend for multi-level marketing (MLM) companies to sponsor their staff for Umrah and Haj, not only as a sales incentive but also to boost sales in the Malay and Muslim markets.
“It is interesting to see that MLM companies have started to offer these incentives to their staff, a move which can promote better team spirit as well as encourage active participation in the business,” general manager (marketing & sales) of TH Travel & Services Sdn Bhd Yasmin Mohd Yazid said today.
TH Travel & Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TH Group Bhd, manages Umrah and Haj pilgrimage as well as organises Muslim travel packages.
Yasmin said the company has been receiving overwhelming response in the last few years from MLM companies to manage Umrah for their staff and most packages involve quite a large number of people.
She said the trend is expected to continue this year, especially with the approach of Ramadhan in September.
Last year, the company managed a total 6,000 people for Umrah.
Earlier, she received a cheque from Hai-O Enterprise Bhd, a MLM company which sells traditional Chinese medicine is sponsoring 212 staff for Umrah as part as the incentives for reaching various sales targets.
